Lynne Spears: "I Blame Myself"

Brit Brit's mommy, Lynne Spears, spoke with Life&Style and told them she blames herself for all of her daughter's troubles. Lynne said her problems began long before KFed and the kids were around.

“I wish I’d been there more while she was touring, but I couldn’t be. I had the other kids [Britney’s brother, Bryan, now 30, and sister Jamie-Lynn, now 16] to look after.”

“I didn’t raise my children to have Hollywood careers. This all just exploded in my face, and big dreams became big headaches. I do blame myself.”

Lynne went on to say that she's trying to mediate the differences between her daughter and KFed and seems positive that they are going to work things out. She also said that her own relationship with Brit is on the mend, but they aren't going to move in together anytime soon.

"Britney’s not a keep-me-around person. I also have a 16-year-old to look after. I can’t be there for Britney all the time.”

If she blames herself why doesn't she make good and throw a straitjacket on Brit and get her the kind of help she really needs? Intervention!
