Say "Sputum" And Get Slapped
A CBS insider has told The Drudge Report that Katie Couric slapped an editor after he put the word "sputum" into the script of a story. Sputum basically means loogi. You know, that nasty shit you cough up when you've got issues.
The source said, "During the tuberculosis story in June, Couric got angry with news editor Jerry Cipriano for using a word she detested— 'sputum' —and the staff grew tense when she began slapping him 'over and over and over again' on the arm, according to a source familiar with the scene. It had seemed like a joke at first, but it quickly became clear that she wasn’t kidding."
Katie admitted to the incident, but says the slapping was just a joke. She also said that the word has been banned completely. She said, "I sort of slapped him around. I got mad at him and said, 'You can’t do this to me. You have to tell me when you’re going to use a word like that.' I was aggravated, there's no question about that.'
Jerry Cipriano deserves some sort of award for keeping his cool. I would've been escorted out of the building for slapping her back with her own hand. What's so awful about the word "sputum" anyway? I bet some nasty ass, brown, crunchy "sputum" comes out of that foul skank!
