Britney Spears Files for Divorce!

TMZ Reports:

Britney Spears has filed a petition for divorce from Kevin Federline. Spears filed legal papers today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.

The two have been married since 2004. Their prenup is said to be iron clad and Britney is waiving her right for spousal support, of course. Britney gave the date of separation as November 6, 2006. Britney famously appeared in her new body on David Letterman that night.

Britney has hired Laura Wasser as her lawyer. Wasser has defended Angelina Jolie and Nick Lachey.

UPDATE - On the divorce papers she lists October 6, 2004 as her wedding date and not September 18, the day we all thought she got married. She lied to us and I feel so violated!
