David Blaine has done everything from freezing himself in a block of ice, to hanging himself over the Thames in a plexiglass box to burying himself alive. Cindy Adams reports that for his next trick he will attempt to beat the world's record of staying awake.

 

He told Cindy, "It's been tried before. In 1959, Peter Tripp stayed awake eight days, but it resulted in permanent brain damage. In 1964, 17-year-old Randy Gardner did it for a high school science project. He lasted 11½ days but recovered fully. No damage. A guy in London tried but fell short. Another did 19 hours but slept two hours each night, so that doesn't count. Also he was seated in a rocking chair. If I do this thing, which you claim I'm doing, I'll do it on my feet. Standing up."

 

Cindy claims he's going to try it in May and he's training now.

 

I'm pretty sure Britney Spears, Pete Doherty or Amy Winehouse have already beaten the record. Yes, they've had help with their friend called "speed" but still!

 

 

 

 

YES! TMZ has a picture of Shauna Sand visiting a Christmas tree farm yesterday with her kids. Shauna actually has a different pair of shoes than those gorgeous lucite heels. However, she's worn these a few times before. They made their debut a couple of years ago.

Mischa Barton lives! I forgot about this one. Did she move to a ranch in Greenland or something? If she did, can she take the rest of those twats back with her? Unfortunately, Mischa's return to the carpet isn't so amazing. Wrong hair color. Wrong lips. Wrong dress. Wrong shoes. WRONG! She looks like Lynda Carter today. Spanx has done her some good though. Usually her ass looks like a pile of oatmeal on a styrofoam plate.
