The Hills: New Beginnings (And SANS Lauren Conrad) is coming out next week, and so MTV put out the opening credits, and they’ve ruined the one thing about the show which aged well: Natasha Bedingfield‘s 2004-hit Unwritten.

The revival, or whatever they’re calling this, stars everyone from the original one who really needs a check: Whitney Port, Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Justin Bobby, Stephanie Pratt, and Frankie Delgado.

What I love most about the intro is that they present Mischa Barton and that other mess Brandon Lee by saying “introducing.” Mischa is probably the most famous mess in the cast. They couldn’t pull a Heather Locklear in Melrose Place for Mischa by calling her a “Special Guest Star“?

And why did they do to that poor Natasha? Unwritten is the perfect basic bitch anthem, and doesn’t need messing with. This sleepy-half-dance-electro-infused garbage is not going to have me humming into the night. They wouldn’t even play this at Les Deux.

Here’s the intro, which used a carton of Vaseline and every filter to make:
