Max Landis Has Been Accused Of More Abuse, This Time By His Ex-Girlfriend Whitney Moore

Max Landis is the writer/director/actor son of writer/director/actor John Landis, and so you’d think that the worst thing a Landis has thrust upon humanity was Oscar (I don’t mean that, Yvonne De Carlo gave the performance of a lifetime in it). But then Max Landis proved that to be very, very wrong by the several accusations of sexual abuse against him. And now his ex-girlfriend, actress Whitney Moore, has added something more to The Max Landis Is A Pile Of Oily Anal Leakage files.

33-year-old Max Landis has been selling screenplays since he was 18, and I’m sure it has nothing to do with his last name, and he’s been responsible for movies like Bright, Chronicle, Victor Frankenstein, American Ultra, and Ariana Grande’s video for One Last Time. Around the #MeToo movement in 2017, stories started to pop on the internet about how Max Landis isn’t only a danger to cinema (see: Bright), but also a danger to women. At the time, many came out to say that in Hollywood, it’s been an “open secret” that Max Landis could beat Blue Waffle disease in a “What’s grosser?” contest.

After Netflix ordered a sequel to Bright, Anna Akana, who worked with Max on a YouTube video, spit at them in a now deleted tweet saying that he’s a “psychopath who sexually abuses and assaults women.” Video game developer Zoe Quinn, who currently goes by “gerard whey” on Twitter, said in a series of tweets that Max is trash. Here’s just a couple of her tweets from back then:

Another woman wrote a Medium piece, which has also been deleted, co-signing all the other claims, and said that during a trip with Max, she got really drunk and he tried to have sex with her and when he wouldn’t take no for an answer, she pretended to pass out, and that’s when he stopped. The Hollywood Reporter was working on a Ronan Farrow-style exposé on Max Landis, but decided not to publish it.

Max Landis has never been formally charged with assault.

And that brings us to what his ex-girlfriend Whitney Moore had to say. Whitney posted a warning on Instagram, saying that he did horrific things to her, and she stood by him because she thought he was changing. But of course he never did and now Whitney wants everyone to know to stay away from him.

Max Landis quit Twitter after having many a hissy fit about critics shitting on his movies, and he has kept quiet for a second, but earlier this year it was announced he was making a “comeback” by writing a movie starring Chloe Grace Moretz. But Chloe later said that Max’s script is getting a complete rewrite, and although he’s still getting credit (and a check), the movie is distancing itself from him.

So let’s see, Max Landis has had multiple sexual assault accusations made against him, his biggest hit Chronicle came out in 2012, and yet he’s still making money in Hollywood. So while many are sickened by Max Landis, the definition of Nepotism definitely looks at him, and does a chef’s kiss before saying, “My greatest work!
