Meek Mill Claims The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Is Racist And He’s Suing Them For It
Meek Mill had a shitty time in Las Vegas. This weekend when 32-year-old Meek tried to get into The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas to see a show in their nightclub, he was turned away. Not only was Mr. Mill turned away, the staff of the hotel threatened that he would be arrested and charged with trespassing if he didn’t leave the entire property. Was Meek being belligerent? Was he waving a gun around or something? He claims no, he’s just “guilty” of being black, and now he’s going to sue them for it.
In several videos posted to Instagram and Twitter, Meek shows how the staff at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas told him to get the fuck out of their space because… well… I’m not sure? It’s not really clear and they keep asking. He laid out a full play-by-play on the racist practices he experienced for his Twitter followers:
If you come from our culture you should never step foot in the cosmopolitan hotel they just really racist as hell …. something really has to be done in Las Vegas what they doing to black people!

The Cosmopolitan responded in a statement, saying the nightclub had reached capacity according to the Las Vegas Fire Marshal code. Their statement said:
“The recent situation regarding Meek Mill related to a matter of security, not race, and any reports citing otherwise are false. We pride ourselves on providing an inclusive environment, with zero tolerance for discrimination. Under different circumstances, Meek Mill would be welcomed to the resort, but not at the compromise of his personal safety and the safety of our guests.”
But in the videos Meek shared, not once does any of the security personnel say the club is at capacity. And also, then why would he be trespassing if he went to somewhere else? So that sounds fishy, to say the least. And Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, agrees, saying:
“The assertion that the Cosmopolitan denied Meek because of capacity concerns at Marquee Dayclub is outright false. In the recorded video, Meek also inquired about getting a meal at one of the hotel’s restaurants, yet their security team continued to deny Meek and said he would be arrested for trespassing regardless of location in the hotel premises. The Cosmopolitan’s conduct continues to be deplorable.”
TMZ says that Meek has now leveled things up and is actually going ahead with suing the resort casino for discrimination. His lawyer Joe told TMZ:
He will ask for “heavy monetary damages” for “lying and humiliating Meek,” adding, “I’m going to take this place down because of what they did.”
Joe also says that he is in touch with other rappers, including Yo Gotti and BlocBoy JB, who have also been discriminated against by Las Vegas hotels. Meek tweeted some more:
The cosmopolitan issued a statement that it was over capacity at a pool party why I was banned but told me I would be arrested just for stepping on their property even if I went to eat on the property “not at the pool party” doesn’t even make sense

And I don’t care about that casino I bring in millions every time my name mentioned on a Vegas casino event where I am always welcome … but y’all not gone just treat us like shit and act like it’s normal ??♂️ Put some respect on our race “please and thank you”

Whatever Las Vegas’ problem with black people seems to be, they should probably get it figured out ASAP. When Cardi B is back in fighting shape and she has her Las Vegas residency there? …It’s gonna be a culture-shock. They’re used to the fans of Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Lady GaGa; Cardi’s demographic is a lot different.
