Linda Hamilton’s Madonna Arms Are Back In “Terminator: Dark Fate”

I don’t know if part of Linda Hamilton’s divorce settlement from James Cameron included securing a starring role in his third attempt to milk the Terminator franchise drier than a mummy, but if it was, congratulations? In a new trailer for the upcoming movie Terminator: Dark Fate, Linda reprises her iconic role of future-saver Sarah Connor and she’s brought her big guns with her. She looks amazing and seems to have been keeping up with her pull ups routine. And it looks like she shared her workout, and original costume, with co-star Mackenzie Davis.

According to i09, this latest Terminator is produced by James and directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and like the rest of us, “acts as if the last three Terminator films don’t exist”. For those keeping track, first there was 1984’s The Terminator featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s naked ass. It should have stopped there but then there was the one with the melty silver cop (Terminator 2: Judgment Day). And then the one with the lady Terminator who kind of looks like Brie Larson (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines). And the one with Christian Bale and all the red-eyed skeleton Terminators (Terminator Salvation). And finally there was Terminator Genisys (it’s not me who can’t spell) which came out in 2015 and apparently had Daenerys Targaryen as a young Sarah Connor. Who knew?! This latest one picks up after T2. Here’s the trailer.

Man, 35 years is a long time to wait for the payoff of Arnold’s “I’ll be back” line. It looks like getting Arnold back (with second billing, according to IMBD) meant they had to cast a bunch of TV nobodies and cost them their entire CGI budget. Unless using b-roll footage from the Exxon Valdez oil spill for all their Terminator FX was a comment on environmental stewardship in the 22nd century. At any rate, if ropey armed ladies in tank tops are your thing, Terminator: Dark Fate will be in theaters November 1.
