Scarlett Johansson And Colin Jost Are Engaged

After nearly two years of dating, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have decided to get married. Congratulations! People reports that ScarJo’s publicist confirmed the news to the Associated Press on Sunday. I’m not surprised that Colin didn’t break the news himself during Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update segment. One host already declared his intention to spend forever with a stunning charismatic star, and that was Seth Meyers and Stefon back in 2013. And there’s really no point in trying to top what can never be topped.

This will be 36-year-old Colin’s first marriage, and 34-year-old Scarlett’s third. She was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010, a marriage which still shocks me when I’m reminded that it happened. She was also married to hot French guy Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017. She shares her 4-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy, with him.

The news of Scarlett’s and Colin’s engagement doesn’t really come as too much of a surprise. Back in March, a source told People that the two were very in love, and that they share many of the same interests, as well as having a similar sense of humor. What kind of sense of humor? I hope it’s a corny one. Until I know for sure, I’m going to picture that all jokes in their house are punctuated with “Jost kidding.” The source added that Scarlett was very happy with Colin. What’s not to love? Good sense of humor, good job, and is able to freeze his face and body into a perfect Ken doll smile during red carpet events.

ScarJo’s rep says that no wedding date has been set as of yet. I hope they figure it out soon. Leslie Jones needs to know how much time she has to practice jumping out of her seat and screaming “NOOOOOOO! THAT LITTLE VANILLA CAKE POP IS MINE!” in response to the wedding officiant asking if anyone has any objection to why these two should marry.
