Kevin Federline Doesn’t Want Britney Spears To See Their Kids Until She’s More “Stable”

I’m not talking about physically stable, because as you can see, there’s plenty of people available to assist Britney Spears as she descends a staircase. This all has to do with Britney’s latest mental health issues. According to Us Weekly, Britney’s got one more thing to stress about, because Kevin Federline reportedly isn’t giving her any extra time with their sons until her current mental health stuff settles down a bit.

Last month, we felt the shadow of 2007/2008 Britney creep over us again after she checked into a mental health facility to deal with the stress of Daddy Spears’ recent ruptured colon. Sources claimed Britney was not doing great at all before she checked in, and the podcast Britney’s Gram claimed she was being held against her will in a mental facility. TMZ said that Britney wasn’t being held against her will and was there to correct a medication issue. Britney claimed all was good in a rehearsed video, but then kind of went back on that by trying to end her conservatorship. Her mother Lynne Spears got involved too.

And hanging around the sidelines is Britney’s ex-husband and current main caretaker of Jayden James and Sean Preston. Britney and Kevin share custody of the boys (with Kevin collecting a ton of child support). But a source tells Us Weekly that Kevin took over and provided the primary care for the boys in the months leading up to Britney’s decision/not decision to check into a facility. Kevin is supportive of Britney’s move to get well, he just doesn’t want the kids around her too much right now. A source says:

“Britney’s immediate concern has been in having increased visitation time with her boys. Kevin won’t allow the boys to spend more time with their mother until Britney is once again stable and therapeutic on medication. He allows the boys to spend time with Britney, but it’s at his discretion.”

Even though Britney might be saying, “Gimme, gimme more…time with my sons” to Kevin, it sounds like he’s saying, “Yeah, not right popo-nãow.” Us Weekly spoke to several sources with info pertaining to Britney’s current conservatorship situation. One source claims that Britney doesn’t care if her dad has control over her finances, but she wants control over who she gets to spend time with.

And if Lynne has anything to say about it, the Spears-Federline boys will continue to have limited access. One of the sources that spoke to UsWeekly says that Lynne wants Britney back in treatment while the conservatorship details are getting sorted out. The source adds that any reports of Lynne trying to help Britney out of her conservatorship are false. But if you ask Lynne how Britney is doing, and TMZ did, she’ll say Britney is doing “wonderful.”

It would appear that Britney’s full-time job at the moment is trying to get well and fighting her conservatorship. According to her manager Larry Rudolph, that’s not that far off from the truth. Larry tells TMZ that Britney is so sidetracked with her current issues that she’s not mentally or physically healthy enough to resume rehearsals for her shows in Las Vegas (which were supposed to resume back in February). And it might not happen ever again.

“As the person who guides her career – based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis – from what I have gathered it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.”

Larry goes on to say that Britney hasn’t called him in months, which he believes is her way of telling him she’s not interested in performing. He also says he wouldn’t push her to work if she didn’t want to.

I know Britney has some die-hard fans out there who will surely be crushed by this news. And you know that with any group of fans, shit is about to get desperate. When you really want to watch Britney stomp across a stage to “Toxic,” you’ll start to think of substitutions. I better not see any Britney fans blasting “Toxic” from a Bluetooth speaker outside of a courthouse in hopes of catching Britney stomping out as she leaves her next conservatorship hearing. You leave Britney alone! If you need a fix that badly, go find Derrick Barry.
