Dua Lipa And Rita Ora Are Reportedly Feuding, Avoided Each Other At The Met Gala

If you read that headline to my mother she would think you sneezed, coughed, and then said something about the Met Gala in a feud with reporters. But I know that Dua Lipa is a human woman whose song One Kiss with Calvin Harris definitely invaded your eardrums one too million times. And I also know that Rita Ora (yes, that is Rita above) is someone who wishes that description could be used for her. But instead she’s known as “the singer featured on Iggy Azalea‘s Black Widow”. Which is more information which would confuse grown adults. Well these two people who only the young and hip would know about are reportedly in a feud, so lets get into the petty drama, shall we?

Dua Lipa and Rita Ora are reportedly so mad at each other that they had to actually avoid each other at Monday’s Met Gala. I know, I was just as shocked as you were–I had no idea Rita Ora was invited to the Met Gala again. Maybe there is hope for Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian?

The Sun reports that these two were once in a “secret” feud, but the feud became not so secret at the Met Gala.

A source says that Dua and Rita went to school in the UK together, so they’ve known each other for a long time. And Dua loved Rita… until she didn’t. Dua is said to have “quietly turned on Rita” because of the “constant comparisons” between the two. Back in 2017 Dua said of Rita:

“Our parents kind of know each other, and I sort of know her sister.”

Wow, that’s dry. And things are now so bad that they avoided each other at the gala. An insider says:

“It’s a shame, as they used to be very close and Dua spoke a lot about how much she admired Rita. Dua even said she wanted to be just like Rita in the future. But now things have gone south dramatically and she is trying to distance herself—and she’s making no secret of it in the industry. Rita is desperate to avoid confrontation and went out of her way to make sure they didn’t come face to face. She hates the drama but really wanted to go to the Met Gala and didn’t want a row to stop that. She went with her designer friend Marc Jacobs and Kate Moss, so she still had a great night—as did Dua, who was there with her boyfriend Isaac Carew.”

Okay Rita Ora’s publicist working in conjunction with Dua Lipa’s publicist, I see you both! I see you there whispering these “secrets”.

I guess that’s all we’ll hear about Rita Ora for a while. In a few months time we’ll get another story like this so her name pops up in the news and Rimmel London can justify paying her to sell their makeup. Just like that Andrew Garfield story this is not going to last and her publicist will need to throw something else against the wall and see if it sticks.
