R. Kelly Skipped A Hearing In A Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Because He Was Overwhelmed

R. Kelly’s lawyers are claiming that, in addition to “poor,” their client can also add “confused” and “overwhelmed” to his Club Penguin Island profile. Kelly recently lost a civil lawsuit filed against him by not showing up to court. His legal reps are now fighting the ruling by saying that he neglected to attend because he was “overwhelmed” at being in jail when he was served and the papers confused him. Isn’t there always some dude acting as his own lawyer in the pokey? Have him translate it for you next time!

One Heather Williams brought a civil suit against Kelly for allegedly sexually abusing her multiple times when she was underage. The defense table was as barren as the desert when their day in court came up so the judge ruled in her favor. Hold up, the lawyers are yelling according to TMZ! Our client pleads confused!

R. Kelly was so “overwhelmed” with his legal woes, he had no idea what the hell he was reading after he was served papers while in jail … much less know how to handle it in court and that’s why he lost his sexual abuse case … so claims his lawyer who is fighting to undo the legal defeat.

Heather Williams and her attorneys had a piss boner of a time trying to serve Kelly. They even sent him a letter offering to settle out of court but never heard back. Somehow they were able to serve him in jail but that was for naught. Kelly was so busy screaming and hollering over finally having to face 10 counts of sexual assault after literally decades of stories about his vile ways when it comes to underage girls that he couldn’t decipher what “SHOW THE FUCK UP IN COURT SO YOU CAN START PAYING YOUR DEBT, CREEPSHOW!” meant. (Yes, that’s an actual legal brief.)

Kelly’s attorneys are currently trying to have the judgement set aside so they can fight it out in court.

One sort of darkly comedic aspect about a resolutely unfunny case is that Williams supposedly even tried to have R. served at his place at Chicago’s Trump Tower. Consider the building’s owner’s track record. That joint probably has a sexual assault lawsuit security squad filter at the door.
