Johnny Depp Tried To Get Amber Heard Fired From “Aquaman”

Johnny Depp has a few legal battles going on at the same time. He’s suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million saying that her claims of domestic violence are a “hoax”. And he also is suing his old lawyer, Jake Bloom, who represented him for decades and helped during the divorce from Amber. Which is one of the reasons why he’s being sued–Johnny thinks that Jake gave him some bum advice and so he’s pissed. Now Bloom’s legal team has served deposition notices to a litany of famous people and in-power-types and it’s riling some feathers.

The Hollywood Reporter says that a bunch of rich and powerful people are going to have to talk about their experiences with Johnny Depp. Among them are former Warner Bros. chairman, Kevin Tsujihara, billionaire Elon Musk, lawyers Marty Singer, Patty Glaser, Laura Wasser and Blair Berk who all worked with Johnny, of course the alleged hoax-creator herself, Amber Heard, as well as her lawyer Samantha Spector and her sister Whitney, Amber and Johnny’s former neighbors, Johnny himself and also Johnny’s bodyguards.

It seems that Kevin Tsujihara is being called to testify under oath about some potential “blacklisting” of Amber at Warner. Allegedly, Johnny:

“Personally lobbied Tsujihara to remove the actress from Aquaman and block her from getting other projects.”

This was an uphill climb for Johnny because Amber had already played Mera in the Justice League movie and had already been cast in the standalone Aquaman before she filed for divorce.

Bloom has called on all these lawyers because a part of the lawsuit against him is that Johnny claims Jake gave him bad legal advice. But the gag is: other lawyers he worked with also suggested that Johnny settle his divorce to Amber instead of dealing with a legal battle. Hmmm, I wonder why? Other parts of the lawsuit claim that Jake took more money than he was supposed to and had no contract to do so, but Jake claims that they had an oral contract during their years and years and years of working together.

Johnny’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, claims this is all a smoke show and that Jake is trying to distract, giving this lengthy statement:

“Bloom Hergott bewilderingly claims that they have been accused of malpractice relating to Amber Heard and her already disproven abuse hoax. We are suing Amber Heard for defamation following her hoax, and also the Sun tabloid for rebroadcasting it, not Bloom Hergott. To remind Bloom Hergott, Mr. Depp is suing them for breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, swiping Mr. Depp’s back end payments, taking over $30 million without a written contract and tax and other legal malpractice. What evidence could Elon Musk and Kevin Tsujihara (the former head of Warner Bros.) possibly possess to do with that? Now Bloom Hergott will have to convince the Court that Elon Musk, Amber Heard and an ex Studio Chief have relevant information for their defense, versus merely issuing famous subpoenas in a last ditch effort to divert attention and stall their looming day of reckoning.”

Apparently legal observers are actually throwing a side eye at Waldman and not Bloom, because it seems strange to advise Johnny to bring suits against both Heard and Bloom which will only reignite Amber’s claims of domestic violence. Which it did.

I don’t know what’s going on here. You allegedly act like a drunken mess–pissing all over the place and shouting and breaking things– and then you sue the guy who was like, “You don’t need people hearing how messy you are, you should settle” claiming that’s bad advice? And then, you open yourself up to more stories about your alleged messiness being made public by suing the woman who says you were drunkenly abusive to her? I’ve heard of method acting, but Johnny Depp has really taken his Pirates Of The Caribbean character ALL THE WAY south. You’re supposed to leave the character behind, Johnny.
