Marc Jacobs Got Married

After one of the more unusual rich person marriage proposals in recent times, one might expect that fashion designer and Chioptle stan Marc Jacobs might have gotten married in a Qdoba or maybe even stepped it up to a Moe’s Southwest Grill. Unfortunately, no. Marc, 55, and his new husband, former model and current candlemaker Char Defrancesco, got hitched at a non-Mexican chain restaurant in NYC. Hopefully, they at least served jalapeno poppers as an appy.

People and Harper’s Bazaar reports that, after Marc and Char were married, they had their star-studded dinner and reception at The Grill in NYC. The party spilled over to The Pool, which is a restaurant/lounge owned by the same people and in the same locale. There’s no word yet on whether the after-party was held at The Towel.

Guests included violent supermodel Naomi Campbell, regular supermodel Kate Moss, blank-faced sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Christy Turlington, Queen Bee Lil’ Kim, Anna Wintour, Frank Ocean, Sandra Bernhard, Debi Mazar,  and Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber. Oh, and, uh, Rita Ora was there. Yeah, you got me on that one. Maybe she was working catering?

Before the wedding, Marc showed off a gift he received from Prada and Miu Miu design director Fabio Zambernardi. Did anyone else know that penguins mate for life? Poor penguins. *sad-face*

Jacobs and Defrancesco wore matching diamond and onyx penguin pins on their special day, a sweet gift from Prada and Miu Miu design director Fabio Zambernardi. “Penguins have only one partner and mate for life. A great example of faithfulness and fidelity. So grateful to you and love you so much dear Fabio,” Jacobs explained on Instagram.

He’s Marc Jacobs so all of his fashion designer peeps were sending him shit to wear becauses they might have been born at night but it wasn’t last night. A shot of their swag on Marc’s IG is a get! Clock the vanilla Wonder Woman boots. Tell me he sashayed down the aisle with those.

E! reports that guests received “their own customized vape pens as party favors.” This means that at least one part of the evening did take place at their favorite restaurant Chiptole because everyone was probably stoned and had the munchies.
