Police Have Identified A Suspect In Nipsey Hussle’s Murder (UPDATE)
UPDATE: Shitty Cuz may have been captured in Bellflower, CA today.
The only levity to be found in the shocking daylight murder of rapper and community activist Nipsey Hussle, is that the primary suspect in his murder has been identified as Eric Holder. This gives us a moment of amusement imagining the former US Attorney General, with his soft grey natural and nerdy uncle mustache, as a hardened killer. But that one is Eric “Himpton” Holder Jr. According to the TMZ, the actual alleged killer is Eric “Shitty Cuz” Holder. Nipsey was once openly a member of the Rollin’ 60s, a Crenshaw area Crips gang. And while the LAPD says Shitty does have gang ties, it’s thought that the murder was more personal.
According to TMZ:
Nipsey was murdered in view of a surveillance camera, and footage shows the shooter — the man in the dark shirt — opening fire 3 different times on Nipsey before kicking his body and fleeing toward a back alley.
Our sources tell us sometime before the shooting, “Shitty” had a tense exchange with Nipsey. We’re told Nipsey asked him if he had snitched to cops in the past, because that was the word around town. We’re told “Shitty” felt disrespected, left to grab a gun … then allegedly returned to get revenge.
According to the L.A. Times, the LAPD are actively searching for Shitty. They are also looking for a woman who drove the getaway car. They issued a warning that “violent retaliation for this event will not be tolerated”, but they also posted this mugshot on Twitter, and asked for help finding their man.

What could possibly go wrong? A vigil held in Nipsey’s honor last night was marred by fear and the threat of violence. According to MSN:
Hundreds of fans gathered outside the Grammy-nominated rapper’s South Los Angeles apparel store, The Marathon Clothing, a day after Hussle was gunned down in the same location. But as night fell, violence broke out and people were trampled as they fled.
One person was stabbed and another six people sustained injuries from unknown causes, Los Angeles Police Department public information officer Tony Im told USA TODAY. The number of injured may rise as reports come in, he added.
According to several eyewitnesses, rumors of gunshots being heard, sent the crowd into a panic which caused a stampede.
A HUGE stampede of people rushed out of the @NipseyHussle memorial area. People thought they heard something break or a loud noise and started running. @ABC7 pic.twitter.com/rVp84eNCYi

We’re hearing multiple people are injured and at least three are stuck in the middle of this crowd, unable to get help. That’s why officers are trying to clear the area. Also, the entire city is now under a tactical alert. @ABC7 pic.twitter.com/4uFjYpsfOO

It’s a mess. This can’t be what Nipsey would have wanted for his legacy. But if we’ve learned anything from the past several years, it’s that legacy is far from static. I guess the best any of us can do in this life is to do our best to make sure, that in the end, the good ends up outweighing the bad.
And in case you didn’t let it marinate in your brain, Nipsey’s alleged killer’s nickname is Shitty Cuz. Shitty. Cuz.
