Cillian Murphy Will Probably Be In The Sequel To “A Quiet Place”
The A Quiet Place squeakuel – oops, sorry, that’s a different horror franchise called Alvin and the Chipmunks– I mean sequel, was announced over a year ago approximately 5 minutes after the original was released. You might think that’s TOO SOON, but the first movie brought in $340 million worldwide on just a $17 million production budget. With odds like that I’m surprised they haven’t yet announced A Quiet Place 15: Electric Boogaloo Reprise Again. The sequel is scheduled to be out on May 15, 2020 and casting is moving along with sinister Irish hottie Cillian Murphy as the sequel’s undoubtably creepy lead.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Cillian is “in talks” for a role, which could mean anything from your office mate’s aunt’s yarn salesman said so, to the ink on the contract is already dry, but based on this one sentence description of the role, it’s a pretty safe bet Cillian will nab the part:
Details on the plot are being in a very quiet place but sources say that Murphy will play a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit.
Cillian can be scary as fuck, so I don’t need to know any more of the plot. Bad things are going to happen and he is going to be the one to blame. Cillian is Christopher Nolan‘s go-to villain and he has those White Walker eyes that bore through your soul, so he’s probably perfect for whatever role John Krasinski will write for him.
Emily Blunt and the kids who played her children are all coming back for the next movie, so I hope Emily secured that coin and got a better deal than she did against The Rock for the upcoming Jungle Cruise movie.
A Quiet Place left off with Emily pulling a Kelly Preston and having a silent birth, lest her newborn get eaten by alien/monsters or something. OK, I didn’t actually see A Quiet Place, but I did see Bird Box and it’s pretty much the same movie but substitute talking for looking, right? Wait, are we sure A Quiet Place isn’t Bird Box, because I’m pretty sure there was a double birth scene with the chick from Dumplin’ and Sandra Bullock while they were also getting attacked by alien/monsters. Do I smell a crossover hit for summer 2022? A Quiet Box? A Box Place? The porn parody has already written itself.
