Barbra Streisand Clarifies Her Comments On Michael Jackson, And Diana Ross Adds Her Own

In “Girl What Is You Doing?” news, Barbra Streisand had to “clarify” some comments she made about Michael Jackson’s accusers. While promoting an upcoming concert over in jolly old England, Barbra let out a nugget of crazy WTF about Wade Robson and James Safechuck. If you need a refresh on what earned Barbra the award for The Worst Take, here you go:

“His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has. You can say ‘molested’, but those children, as you heard say (the grown-up Robson and Safechuck), they were thrilled to be there. They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.”

That take is like butter gone rancid and covered in shit. I guess basically defending an alleged pedophile is not the coolest thing to do in 2019? Weird. Well, now Barbra is doing the thing which is very cool in 2019: apologizing for the problematic things she said

Variety reports that Barbra has spoken! …Again. This time she’s not going to offer up a cluster of nonsense basically suggesting that parents should watch their kids harder when they’re around child molesters. Knowing she was in some real hot shit, Barbra released this statement:

“To be crystal clear, there is no situation or circumstance where it is OK for the innocence of children to be taken advantage of by anyone… The stories these two young men shared were painful to hear, and I feel nothing but sympathy for them. The single most important role of being a parent is to protect their children.  It’s clear that the parents of the two young men were also victimized and seduced by fame and fantasy.”

And because Babs wanted her Damage Control Tour to hit more than one stop, she apologized on Instagram too.

So I guess the next time Babs is asked about Michael Jackson, she’s going to laugh nervously before switching to a topic we all really want her thoughts on: cloned rich lady dogs.

Now, Miss Diana Ross saw all this and thought to herself: “Lemme add my two cents.” Diana woke up yesterday and had something on her spirit and she decided it needed to be on ours also, so she posted this message on her Twitter account:

If only Diana had told her friend Michael to STOP IN THE NAME OF THE SANITY AND WELL-BEING OF THOSE CHILDREN.

Expect Diana to also make a heartfelt apology statement in the coming 24-36 hours after she learns the same lesson that it doesn’t pay off to defend alleged pedophiles, even if you kinda knew them one time. I don’t know what’s in the water that the government is pumping into these Divas’ houses but it’s making them go loco-bananas-crazy! Quick: somebody tell Beyoncé not to drink from her tap!
