People Think Kim Kardashian Is Stealing Naomi Campbell’s Looks

I mean, she stole the Titanic’s ass, so is this much of a shock? Sartorial sleuths who have kept a National Archives-level documentation of everything Naomi Campbell has worn, noticed recently that Kim Kardashian seems to be making a point of showing up in frocks Naomi once strutted down the runway. It’s not exactly like the Kardashians are known for setting trends beyond making everyone want to get paid to do nothing, but I guess trying to snatch Naomi’s style is the straw that broke the fashion camel’s back.

Cosmopolitan notes the fashion carbon copying has happened several times: the vintage Versace dress Kim wore while questionable-if-fashionably late to Chance the Rapper’s wedding is something Naomi rocked down the runway in the 90s. A Versace dress Kim wore to the Broadway premier of The Cher Show is the same dress Naomi wore in 2015 to an awards show. And Kim ALSO wore a Versace dress at a fashion show last year that Naomi wore to the 1997 VMAs. I mean, the list goes on, including a recent Alaïa catsuit that made Kim look like a slutty cheetah while Naomi made it werk back in the day. See more to the tune of Mariah Carey here:

It doesn’t even end there. The Daily Mail points out that Kim even wears the same hairstyles as Naomi to the point of kinking her hair. Silly, Kim. Just because Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are too young to remember those fashions doesn’t mean the rest of us elephants don’t know how to use Google to realize you’re doing to Naomi what Melania Trump did to Michelle Obama. Now, if Kim suddenly starts boinking young dudes and scoffing at Kendall’s modeling career and frightening everyone with a steel gaze next season on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, we’ll know exactly what she’s up to!
