Luke Perry Is In The Hospital After Reportedly Suffering A Stroke (UPDATE)

Just one day after news of that bizarre 90210 reboot punched a HUH? out of us, we’re learning that Luke Perry had a major stroke and is in the hospital right now. QUICK! Everybody grab your 90210 crucifix (read: a Dylan McKay doll) and a vat of 90210 holy water (read: some drugstore 90210 perfume from the 90s) and form a prayer circle around Dylan McKay now!

TMZ claims that paramedics were called to Luke’s house in Sherman Oaks, CA at around 9:40 on Wednesday morning. The call was about someone having a stroke. Luke was taken to the hospital, and his rep didn’t confirm to People that he suffered a stroke and what his condition is, but they did say he’s in the hospital.

“Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.”

52-year-old Luke plays Archie’s dad on Riverdale, and he’s recently been shooting scenes in L.A.

Luke and Shannen Doherty are the only original members of the Peach Pit gang who haven’t signed on to the acid trip of a 90210 reboot. Shannen probably isn’t going to be in it, but Tori Spelling said that there’s a chance Luke will do a cameo. Well, Luke now has two very good reasons to not do that reboot: 1. It sounds a mess. 2. HE HAD A FUCKING STROKE.

Brenda Walsh is probably on a flight from London (where she’s starring in a highly-acclaimed production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) to Los Angeles to be by her soulmate’s side. And as she’s embracing Dylan McKay with her loving arms, she’ll be using her legs to kick away Kelly Taylor who will definitely try to get up in there. Not now Kelly!

UPDATE: We’re going to need to triple up that prayer circle, because TMZ now claims Luke’s stroke was “massive” and after getting to the hospital, he was put in a medically-induced coma. Radar also says that Luke was having back problems and had undergone surgery for it.

UPDATE II: TMZ is now saying that a family member of Luke’s told them that he’s not in a coma, but doctors have sedated him.
