Brad Pitt Regrets The Way He Handled His Break-Up With Jennifer Aniston

Make the most of your regrets; never smother your sorrow, but tend and cherish it till it comes to have a separate and integral interest. To regret deeply is to live afresh.

– Henry David Thoreau. Or maybe Justin Theroux. I don’t know, what do I look like, a fucking nerd!?

Either way, they are words to live by for William Bradley Pitt. Brad probably has so many regrets he would sign on to do Cool World 2, at scale, for the chance to live afresh. And this year seems to be his year of reckoning for all the mistakes he’s made since a certain Long Tall Sally made his dick drip.

According to Us Weekly, while Brad doesn’t “dwell on the past”, he does wish he’d handled his split from Jennifer Aniston with more care.

Although the Inglorious Bastards actor, 55, “doesn’t like to dwell on the past,” he “of course wishes he’d handled the end of their marriage in a more thoughtful manner,” a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. “He asked for Jen’s forgiveness a long time ago and she gave it.”

I guess this is as close to a public apology Jen’s ever going to get from him. And to think, it only took 12 years and a text to his publicist. But while Jen may have absolved him, the rest of us are still eyeballing him sideways. Now that Brad’s not living under the saintly thumb bone of Angelina Jolie, I guess he finally feels free to start making amends and try to win back the legions of Team Aniston he’s alienated over the years. And now Team Jolie hates him too? Shiiiit. He’s going to have to do a lot more than whisper his regrets to his tabloid of choice if he really wants to Make It Right and start anew. C’mon Brad, open a vein and sit your ass down with Oprah or something.
