Brad Pitt And Jennifer Aniston Are Back On – But Just As Friends

Poor tabloid interns across America are in for a doozy today. Not only do they have to fetch coffee and find a new angle to write a story about Bat Boy, but now they have to mop up the chairs of the editors who collectively wet themselves over the news that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are getting closer – as friends. That opened up a decade’s worth of stories and reason to splurge on that new beach house!

Us Weekly says there’s more to Brad showing up to Jen’s 50th birthday party, and, no, it wasn’t just to also make nice with George Clooney and Angelina Jolie 2.0, er, Amal Clooney. No, it also wasn’t to walk up to his other ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, and apologize for being such a terrible boyfriend that it pushed her head into the space where GOOP seemed like a good day. It was because Brad and Jen have been quiety rekindling the friendship flame and have been secret friends since Jen’s mom died in 2016. Jen’s mom, Nancy Dow, died in May of that year, and a snitch says Brad called up Jen to express his condolences…and yearn for the days when he didn’t need a mini school bus to go on a family road trip (no, he didn’t say the last part):

“Brad contacted Jen after her mom died, and she was touched that he knew what a difficult time it was.”

That was also around the time Brangelina was done-zo and only a year before Jen and Justin Theroux called it quits on their marriage. I guess Brad and Jen have been recovering with each other at Camp “Marrying Indie-Ass, Oscar-Chasing Actors Ain’t All It’s Cracked Up To Be.” It actually sounds like they’re just being nice, and a source blabbed, “Brad wanted to support and celebrate Jen by attending her birthday party.” That’s cute. Or, as most tabloids will put it on Friday: “BRAD AND JEN BONED USING HER BIRTHDAY CAKE ICING AS ASTRO-GLIDE!” Now THAT’S a magazine I’d buy!
