Priyanka Chopra Jonas And Her Husband Nick Jonas Are Still Getting To Know Each Other
The multi-city party bus tour that was the wedding of Nick Jonas and his new bride Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Lord) has officially come to an end, yet Priyanka still won’t shut the fuck up about it. And you would think at this point she’d be telling everyone that she made the best decision because she knows she married the right man. But nah. She barely knows her husband and thinks getting to know him after they said I do is some kind of magical adventure.
Us Weekly caught up with Priyanka and Nick at the Isn’t It Romantic premiere in Los Angeles Monday night and you could tell she was still beaming with happiness, probably because she had just discovered that Nick likes jalepenos on his nachos just like she does. She explained that due to the abbreviated nature of their courtship, they didn’t really have a lot of time to get to know one another, which sounds like a match made in heaven when you’re about to profess your love and fidelity to someone for the rest of your life.
“We haven’t changed [since marrying], strangely, because we’re still navigating being — because we didn’t even date for a long time — we’re navigating getting to know each other. It’s just magical because every day is like a new feeling and a new day and you’re learning something new.”
Priyanka says she wants to collaborate with Nick on a project. And not just a creative project either. She’s hoping to have a few Chopra-Jonas babies running around at some point because she’s an old fashioned girl, which also explains why she’s tacked on Nick’s last name like it’s the best wedding gift EVER.
“We both know that’s something that needs to happen, but it’s not something I think about very much,” the former Bollywood star told Us and other reporters. “We’re both very driven, we love our work, we’re married to our work, and we’re both very supportive of each other’s work, so I’m sure it will happen in an organic way.”
Chopra Jonas explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 5 that she felt it was important to take her husband’s last name because “we’re becoming family and I’m a little traditional and old-school like that.”
I hope she can hold off on pregnancy for a bit until all the hype surrounding her three thousand wedding celebrations dies down. You know once she gets pregnant, there’s going to be a baby shower every month until she gives birth because Priyanka and Nick have always found their best light in front of the flash of the paparazzi.
