Just last week Diva Queen of Glitter Butterflies and Sugar Plum Unicorns, Mariah Carey, put to bed a lawsuit with her former manager Stella Bulochnikov. Looks like Mariah missed the festive rush of legal battles because she is back in one again, but this time around she’s the one doing the suing.
TMZ is reporting that Mariah is coming for her former executive assistant, Lianna Azarian. Lianna was hired back in 2015, and Mariah says that soon after Lianna started blowing holes in her credit cards. And not because Lianna kept buying her boss feather boas she thought Mariah might like. Instead Lianna was “buying personal stuff” and also claimed to the retailers that it was for Mariah therefore earning her discounts. Because when Mariah Carey comes into a store–a wealthy woman worth more than literally every single customer who has walked through door that day combined–CLEARLY she needs a discount.
Mariah also alleges that Lianna was secretly filming her “personal activities”. She says that Lianna showed the videos to her friends, saying if Mariah ever fired her she would sell them. These videos would be “extremely damaging both personally and professionally if revealed” so Mariah is pissed. The documents don’t say what’s on the videos but it’s been described as “intimate” so get those guesses going. I’m picturing Mariah getting photographed from the left: how scandalous!
Mariah says she was paying her executive assistant $327,000 a year (goddamn I need to become someone’s executive bitch for a year) but told her to GTFO in November 2017, which is when Lianna started blackmailing her. Lianna allegedly demanded $8 million from Mariah saying she would release the videos and other “damaging information” if she didn’t get it. Mariah tried to get the videos back but hasn’t been able to, so now she’s suing Lianna for “unspecified damages” and wants more than $3 million.
Lianna Azarian must not know that if anybody’s going to try to get millions upon millions of dollars out of someone for a ridiculous reason, it’s going to be Mariah Carey herself! And if clips suddenly pop up on The National Enquirer or Mariah doing embarrassing things like wearing Cubic-Zirconia rings or actually staying in a hostel, then you know who probably sold them to pay off a certain $3 million settlement.
