A Scientology Official Has Accused Leah Remini Of Inciting Murder

I didn’t think she had it in her to go all the way but damn, Leah Remini done gone and straight up MURDERED a Scientologist. Can you believe it? Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Leah may not actually have held the knife in her hand, but she’s still 100% to blame for a stabbing that occurred outside of the Scientology headquarters near Sydney, Australia last week. But rather than get the authorities (further) involved by making a formal accusation, CO$ sent A&E president Paul Buccieri a strongly worded letter accusing her and her show Scientology and the Aftermath of inciting the murder with her words. Like she’s Brooklyn’s own lady Charlie Manson.

The letter, written by Karin Pouw (who is probably reading this, hi, Karin!), CO$’s international spokesperson and Director of Public Affairs implicates Leah in the crime detailed below.

The incident occurred on Jan. 4 outside Scientology headquarters in Sydney, Australia. The victim, Chih-Hen Yeh, originally from Taiwan, was a Scientology security worker. Yeh was escorting a female church member to a “purification ceremony” when the woman’s teenaged son stabbed him in the neck with a large kitchen knife, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. Yeh died later in a hospital emergency room.

The assailant’s name is being withheld. Charged with murder, he is currently being held without bail and awaits a Feb. 19 children’s court appearance.

What the fuck is a “purification ceremony” and would you be happy with your mom being led off to one by a Scientology “security worker”? Don’t worry, I got you. A Purification ceremony is the official COS drug/toxin detox program called the Purification Rundown, or if you’re feeling jaunty, “the Purif“. Or if you’re feeling reverent, “the Hubbard Method”. THR says “It involves subjects spending long periods of time, up to five hours per day, in high-temperature saunas, while taking high doses of vitamins and dietary supplements like niacin”. Scientology says it’s “a tightly supervised regimen of exercise, sauna and nutrition”. And HELL NO you wouldn’t want some goose stepping goon dragging your mom off to one.

According to Karin (hi again, Karin!), the young assailant “was inspired by an anti-Scientology website that featured your (Paul’s) people and included a link to Remini’s show”. Oh Karin, that’s rich. A link on a website!? What a reach. Karin also said that “prior to committing this heinous act, the murderer spouted vicious religious hatred and propaganda, incited by A&E and the Leah Remini/Mike Rinder series” which makes it sound as if he was screaming “IN THE NAME OF LEAH I WILL SEND YOU TO HELL” as the knife went in. The truth is probably much smaller and sadder.

Karin (we have to stop meeting like this!) says that “whistleblowers” have said Leah “coaches” people to “incite hatred against Scientology” which she calls “scandalous bigotry“. The letter is a masterclass in hyperbole and bluster. Karin wrote, presumably with a straight face, of the series – “now it has born strange and bitter fruit”. I’m sorry Karin, Abel Meeropol and Billie Holiday would like a word.
