JonBenet Ramsey’s Brother Settled His $750 Million Lawsuit Against CBS

Many who caught CBS’ docu-series The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey back in September of 2016 probably came to the same conclusions that I did at the end of it:

1) I need to secure all the access points to my home and maybe buy a taser or collapsible baton just in case Burke Ramsey’s in the neighborhood and looking for his bowl of pineapple.

2) Burke Ramsey (could have possibly but we can’t say) killed his little sister, 6-year-old child beauty queen JonBenet.

CBS ended the series by pushing the theory that Burke killed JonBenet and his parents covered it up including writing a fake ransom letter. Burke Ramsey was angry by the show’s conclusion that he might have killed sis for stealing his pineapple at the age of 10. So he sued CBS for $750 million. Well, they’ve settled.

Burke’s attorney told Reuters that his client and CBS have settled but didn’t give out any details.

“I can only comment that the case has been amicably resolved to the satisfaction of all parties,” Lin Wood told the news agency in a phone interview today. A CBS spokesman confirmed the settlement to Reuters.

Burke had also named the show’s production company Critical Content in the suit, as well as forensic consultants that participated in the docu-series. In his suit, he claimed that the four-hour series destroyed his reputation and sought “$250M in compensatory damages and twice that in punitive damages.”

Burke’s lawsuit also accused CBS of planning to name him as the killer before their “re-investigation” of the case went in front of the cameras. He later took his chilling smirk to Dr. Phil and opined that the real killer was someone who was after his sister because of her pageant career.

Hopefully, Burke came out of this with money enough to buy all the pineapple he wants. That way, if anyone snatches a piece out of his bowl, he can just go get more and no one has to die. *shiver*
