Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth’s Original Malibu Wedding Plans Were Ruined By The Wildfire
When I first heard about Miley Cyrus getting maybe-married to Liam Hemsworth in Tennessee, I figured that was not a mistake because who wouldn’t want to get married at the mecca of mullets, hot chicken, and Dollywood? But Franklin, Tennessee wasn’t Miley and Liam’s first pick. They wanted to do it in Malibu, but the wildfire that destroyed their home there ruined their plans.
People says Miley and Liam had a compound in Malibu that was special to them since that’s where they got back together after breaking off their first engagement in 2013 and Miley had bookies taking bets on her becoming the next Britney Spears meltdown. Alas, that wasn’t to be – I think we can thank her fairy godmother Dolly Parton for that – and they got back together, which you can kinda assume from the lyrics of “Malibu.” Awwww. Anyway, the wildfire destroyed their compound, so they moved the wedding to right outside Nashville:
“They had planned to get married in Malibu over the holidays when all of their families were together. After their Malibu house didn’t make the fire, they have been living at Miley’s Tennessee house.”
Talk about making the most of a shitty situation since Liam posted this last month of all that remained of their house:
Miley previously told Ryan Seacrest in an interview that she was gutted to see her place destroyed but that she’s, like, in a “really good kind of healing place now” and that “You can always rebuild a physical structure, but that love that can’t be destroyed is always there and always stays strong.” She then braided her hair, changed her name to Wildflower, and lived out her years on a commune. I’m only kidding, but she did confirm the wedding and posted pics where she touched lips with her husband and hugged him while wearing an $8,000 Vivienne Westwood dress:
Sources say Miley and Liam were secret dating for MONTHS before any of us found out and that Liam is “very protective” of her (not protective enough to prevent their movie The Last Song from ruining cinema, but I digress), and she “feels safest” with him. The same snitch says the couple is expected to help others and eventually rebuild a new Malibu home as newlyweds, so each morning they can wake up facing in the direction of Mother Australia and pray to the God, Kylie Minogue, who watches over it and keeps it safe. What? That’s what Australians do every morning, right?
