The Sexual Assault Case Against Asia Argento Hasn’t Gone Anywhere Yet

December 24, 2018 / Posted by:

Just the other day I was wondering what was going on in the case against Asia Argento by Jimmy Bennett, who accused her of sexually assaulting him in 2013 when he was 17 and she was 37. And after I remembered the case and the details, I dropped some sandpaper into my Vitamix, blended it up until it was powder, and then used a funnel to pour it into my ear hole so that I could sandblast that dark-sidedness from my brain. But there’s an update, and the update is that Jimmy hasn’t yet filed a police report and investigators haven’t been able to get a hold of him, so the case is stalled.

22-year-old Jimmy said in December that he was going to file a police report against Asia. Asia has known Jimmy since he was a kid, and in 2013, something sexual went down in a hotel room in Marina Del Rey, CA. Asia’s then-boyfriend Anthony Bourdain ended up paying Jimmy a $380,000 settlement after he threatened to sue her, and she claimed Anthony thought they should pay him off because the allegations could mess with their careers. Anthony can’t give his side of the story since he’s no longer with us. Asia also denied ever doing anything sexual with Jimmy and painted him as a crazy who was obsessed with her. But when texts and a picture came out showing that Asia was probably lying, she changed her story and claimed that she was the victim because Jimmy jumped her.

Jimmy said in a statement that he had kept quiet about the allegations because he was afraid and ashamed, but that he was finally ready to speak out against Asia after seeing her speak out about being one of Harvey Weinstein’s victims.

I’m leaving out a lot, like the end of Asia and Rose McGowan’s #metoo warrior sisterhood, Asia losing her job on X Factor Italy, and Asia taking the messiness on a media tour. If you need a CliffsNotes version of this entire disaster, here you go:

Sources tell TMZ that the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department haven’t been able to move forward in the Asia Argento case, because Jimmy has yet to file a police report and they haven’t been able to talk to him. Jimmy seems to be okay, because he’s been posting on Instagram. Jimmy might be hesitant to talk to police, because when he went on Italian television to tell his story, he was mocked and laughed at. The host didn’t think that he was a victim since he ejaculated.

TMZ doesn’t know if Jimmy still plans to file a report. If he does, and if Asia’s charged and convicted, she could get a maximum of 3 years in prison. So since Asia doesn’t have a sexual assault case to fight, yet, she can devote more time to an idea that’s almost worse than Kevin Spacey’s comeback video. I’m talking about her sequel to #MeToo called #MeToo 2: Electric PleaseDontAsia-a-loo.
