The Hurricane Katrina Victims Who Are Suing Brad Pitt’s Foundation Pretty Much Said That He Was Just In It For The Good PR

Now that Brad Pitt has finalized the custody issues with Angelina Jolie (for now), he can focus on what’s really important. No not his acting in Quentin Tarantino’s Manson murder movie. He can focus on his next real life drama: getting sued by the good people of New Orleans for those shitty houses he built them.

Brad’s Make It Right foundation build houses for people who suffered through Hurricane Katrina, and the houses turn out to be as solid as his performance in The Counselor. The houses had problems. Brad decided he would sue the architect, and he also tried to get his own name taken out of the class action lawsuit which was filed against him and Make It Right by the owners of those trash houses. Brad was all: “This isn’t my fault! I just tried to do something nice with a half-assed effort! Leave me alone!” but the people of New Orleans were like: “No ma’am.”

The Blast is reporting that the people of the Lower Ninth Ward are ready to read Brad for filth, honey, and they did exactly that in some legal filings.

“Mr. Pitt gladly accepted responsibility for his personal participation when the publicity was favorable … [He] received incalculable marketing and publicity benefits from his involvement with the Foundation and the Lower Ninth Ward… But when it surfaced that these homeowners, who are burned with 30-year mortgages on homes that may not last another five years, defendant seeks to be dismissed from legal scrutiny by conveniently ignoring his personal participation and plaintiffs’ allegations of fraud.”

Ouch. Drag her. I smell an “incalculable” pay out coming. And they went on:

“Mr. Pitt received all of the accolades when it appeared the people of the Lower Ninth Ward were being helped by him. But when it surfaced that these homeowners, who are burned with 30-year mortgages on homes that may not last another five years, defendant seeks to be dismissed from legal scrutiny by conveniently ignoring his personal participation and plaintiffs’ allegations of fraud.”

Oh did you think they were done dragging Brad? No honey, they weren’t. They also say that Mr. William Bradley:

“…personally participated in the tortious and fraudulent acts and omissions alleged in Plaintiffs’ Petition. He promised he would build quality, sustainable, green, safe and healthy homes designed to withstand hurricane force winds, promises upon which the homeowners detrimentally relied.”

You know who Brad needs to warn about this? His Manson movie co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. Let him know the dangers of building things with good intentions! Or else that eco-friendly Belize resort he’s been building for years could turn out with problems also. You think the press is on you about poor people getting stuck with shitty houses? Wait til a rich person has an eco-friendly bungalow collapse on them.
