Jennifer Garner And Her New Gentleman Friend, John Miller, Went On A Date In Public

Jennifer Garner, having finally sent her eldest child off to college, has earned the right to have a nice, adult evening out. And she’s done just that. She and her gentleman friend, Robot Burger Man John Miller, went on a date to see Dear Evan Hansen and Jennifer wore a “gray blazer, white button-down shirt and blue jeans, as well as her glasses”. It doesn’t get more grown up than that, folks.

How did I not know that Jen moonlighted as an adjunct Women’s Studies professor at L.A. City College? According to E! News, Jen and Robot Burger Man (Jen and Ben, now Jen and John; too bland! I won’t go through it again. He’s RBM) are still keeping things low key. Although this is their first “joint public appearance” (call me when that means they were caught smoking a joint in public like the rest of us), they staggered their entrances so as to appear more interesting.

The two avoided being photographed together. They arrived just before 8 p.m. in a limo, with Garner exiting first and Miller a few minutes afterwards. After the performance, he was seen leaving the theatre a few minutes before her and waited in the limo for her, an eyewitness told E! News.

We know precious little about RBM. E! says his divorce was finalized just two weeks prior to Jennifer and Ben’s. RBM was married to violinist Caroline Campbell, and Daily Mail reports that she ended things in part because he was controlling and argumentative. Court documents show that the pair first filed for divorce in 2011, got back together, but then filed again in 2014. In a 2016 declaration his ex said that he “thrives on fast paces, vigorous argument and competition” and that resolving conflicts with him was “challenging at best“. Additionally:

The documents stated, Miller ‘is accustomed to being the CEO of companies he starts’ and therefore ‘feels satisfaction from controlling me and making me pay the price for ending the marriage.’

Well, he sounds charming! E! says he still hasn’t met Jen’s kids yet, nor she his (like Ben and Jen, RHM and his ex share joint custody) so even though they’ve been “hanging out” for the “last few months”, they’re taking their time. And speaking of taking one’s time, I took about 30 minutes while “researching” to watch Caroline play her violin in a variety of shiny ball gowns. She’s amazing and now I’m obsessed. I can’t say the same for RBM aka budget Michael Vartan.
