The Cast For “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4” Has Been Ruvealed
The last season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars aired less than eight months ago, but you can’t underestimate RuPaul’s ability to click-clack make that VH1 money. And the cast for the fourth season of All Stars was announced today (or reminded, if you spend a lot of time talking queens on Reddit) by Entertainment Weekly.
The first promo picture of the upcoming fourth season was also released. The theme is very “Lil’ Miss Singing Mermaid wished for some human legs and a better wig” meets the birthday gift wrap you thought was so fancy, you folded it neatly and saved it in your underwear drawer.
Two of the ten contestants are from Drag Race season 10. You’ve got sponge queen Monét X Change and Monique “Facts are Facts” Heart. There’s such little turnaround between the seasons now, I bet Monét and Monique haven’t even unpacked their suitcases from the last time they were in the Werk Room.
Joining them isn’t my personal choice for who I truly believe deserves a Rudemption, Nina Bo’Nina Brown, but the following queens from seasons past. I’ll be honest – including the jush legend that is Jasmine Masters almost makes up for the lipstick debacle from last season (I said almost, Ru).
Farrah Moan (Season 9)
Gia Gunn (Season 6)
Jasmine Masters (Season 7)
Monét X Change (Season 10)
Monique Heart (Season 10)
Naomi Smalls (Season 8)
Trinity Taylor (Season 9)
Valentina (Season 9)
Coming back back back again is (please kindly remove all nuts from the vicinity of her face) Latrice Royale, from RPDR Season 4 and All Stars Season 1. She’s joined by her AS1 partner Manila Luzon, from RPDR Season 3. VH1 has also posted some meet-the-queens videos, which you can watch here.
EW also spoke with the queens competing, and they noted that this season of All Stars will be filled with tons of new catchphrases and lingo, like the word “the goop.” I have no idea what the hell that means. But it’s making me think of Gwyneth Paltrow, and now I can’t stop picturing the queens detoxing their taints of duct tape chemicals.
