Chris Pratt, Anna Faris, And Their New Partners All Went Trick-Or-Treating Together

For couples that are no longer together, holidays can be tricky. If there are kids involved, you still have to see the person, and a thing like Halloween can turn into one of those situations where you’d rather spend the night at Camp Crystal Lake taking your chances with Jason than see your ex. Anna Faris and Chris Pratt split up more than a year ago. They both later agreed that splitting up sucks, and they’re still trying to figure out how to navigate everything, especially since they share a 6-year-old son named Jack. They’ve clearly learned how to navigate through their awkwardness of a shared holiday, because they were seen taking Jack trick-or-treating together last night. And joining along for the ride was their current partners.

Chris Pratt is a bro-for-Jesus type, so I kind of thought he’d skip the whole Halloween thing and do a Hallelujah House instead. But Chris is a-ok with Halloween. He got dressed up in a viking costume, as did his girlfriend of almost five months Katherine Schwarzeneger. Anna Faris appears to be dressed as someone getting initiated into a Toni Basil biker gang? Meanwhile, her boyfriend of a little over a year, Michael Barrett, did some sloppy Khaleesi cosplay.

Jack was a ninja. I gave out Halloween candy last night, and ninja was a very popular costume. You just have to be careful not to accidentally hold a coffee cup while in costume, lest you get mistaken for a coffee ninja, and the next thing you know Sofia Vergara is threatening you to stay away from her turf.

Trick-or-treating is pretty low on the risk scale for an exes/current pieces meet-up. What could go wrong, really? You’re walking around, making small talk while getting candy. Then you go home and make small talk while canning the candy for razor blades. Then you make small talk about how you’re all going to get the shits from eating too many fun-size Snickers bars. Candy truly is the great equalizer.
