Hilary Duff Finally Had Her Baby
I say finally, because it truly did feel like she was pregnant forever, even if she only announced the news back in the summer. Maybe it was because Hilary Duff has had a busy year; a pregnancy, a paparazzi confrontation, a dramatic Instagram fight with a pot-smoking neighbor. And now she’s finally had her baby.
31-year-old Hilary announced the news on Instagram yesterday with a picture of her 31-year-old boyfriend Matthew Koma all snuggled up next to their new baby girl. Hilary says their daughter was born at home on October 25th, and her name is Banks Violet Bair.
This is Hilary and Matthew’s first kid together. She shares a 6-year-old son named Luca with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie. No word on whether Hilary’s labor was triggered by the magic labor-inducing salad of Los Angeles.
But onto that name. After reading the name Banks Violet Bair, my first thought was: “Oh wow, so Bear has finally gotten the Maddysin/Oliveah/Emmaleighee treatment.” But Bair is Matthew Koma’s real last name. So no one is ever going to read the name Banks Koma and wonder where that medical facility is located. I don’t hate Banks Bair. It sounds like the daughter of a Wall Street tycoon from a Disney Channel original movie called Extra Credit, which is very on-brand for Hilary.
