Justin Bieber Feels Guilty About Selena Gomez Needing Treatment
Selena Gomez is having a tough time lately and has reportedly checked into a mental health facility for treatment for anxiety and depression. It seems like she’s having a breakdown is awful and all, but what about the person for whom this situation is really hurting? How is Selena’s ex Justin Bieber weathering this storm, you’ve probably wondered? Answer: Not well. And the joy that must spring from getting secretly married without a prenup to a model isn’t helping with his sadness and guilt over his ex. E! reports that Justin is having a hard time and acting like he might be at fault for some of Selena’s pain. Leave it to Bieber (see what I did there) to make the pain of a woman suffering from anxiety and depression supposedly related to her ongoing battle with lupus in addition to complications from a kidney transplant all about him.
Selena and Justin were on and off for quite some time, and broke up for seemingly for good last March. Since then, well, you’ve probably seen him on the pap stroll with his new wife, both of them looking like unpaid extras from Where The Day Takes You.
It can be inferred from reports that Justin seems to think that his engagement and subsequent godless marriage ceremony to Hailey might have been it for Selena. The ego on that ramshackle skate rat!
“Justin and Selena are not in touch but him hearing the news about Selena definitely upsets him,” a source tells E! News about the duo, who decided to take some space in March after rekindling their romance. “He feels sad and remorse for Selena and knows how it is to go through a difficult time. Justin also feels guilty. He wants to help everyone. He truly wants Selena to be happy, and it’s upsetting to know she’s battling health issues.”
Actually, the Biebs might be correct in feeling like he had a little bit to do with Selena’s breakdown. Another source told Page Six that besides her traumatic health problems, “Justin Bieber’s engagement would undoubtedly have an effect on her.”
Selena’s treatment stay is reportedly “open-ended.”
“Selena has had a lot on her plate — too much,” says the source. “And, of course, as with any major life event,” the engagement would have affected her.
Paps supposedly caught Justin crying in his car this week which could be a reaction to the news about his ex or it might stem from the realization that tax dodging Trumper Stephen Baldwin is now his father-in-law.
So Bieber might have an emotional setting beyond “entitled brat,” “horny,” or “stoned.” As for Selena – if Bieber’s current relationship really has anything to do with her hospital stay, one of her therapists needs to set her ass straight. He should say “Selena, honey, the fact that you’re not with that ramshackle skate rat anymore is a GOOD thing. He’s Justin Bieber. Let’s see this as a positive. In fact, you should probably be making sympathy cards for Hailey Bieber in art therapy.”
