Iggy Azalea’s Tour Got Cancelled

Bad news for all 53 of you Iggy Azalea stans: her “The Bad Girls” North American concert tour has been cancelled. Well not technically cancelled, but technically cancelled: all but four shows are not happening. The tour was supposed to take Iggy across 21 cities over five-weeks, scheduled to begin at the end of the month on October 27 in Hollywood, Florida. Girl, that is tragic. Can’t even kick off your tour in the original Hollywood, you get Hollywood, Florida.

Variety is reporting that the tour’s promoter, Live Nation, gave out a statement about the cancellation saying:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Iggy Azalea’s The Bad Girls Tour has been cancelled… Refunds are available at point of purchase.”

Iggy herself is devastated by this development and tweeted about it to her audience of millions of Twitter followers who don’t seem to like her enough to actually buy a concert ticket:

No official reason was given, but it doesn’t take a math genius to realize it was low ticket sales considering that a large number of tickets are still available for the only four dates not cancelled. Iggy’s tour and her last EP “Survive The Summer” were her first tour and music release in four years, so Iggy’s had a lot of time for people to forget about her.

The opening act, rapper CupcakKe, confirmed she will not be on the tour due to a “change of plans.” I think she phrases the situation best in her tweet:

$330, 000 to $30, 000… damn. Sorry Iggy, but CupcakKe needs that bag “IN FULL”.

So far no reps for Iggy replied to Variety‘s request for comment.

Welp, it’s been three years since Nicki Minaj swiped at Iggy Azalea in their rap feud, and look where Iggy’s at now: a tour cancelled due to low ticket sales. I guess Iggy needs to go out and buy some of Nicki’s new merch because it seems that she too has had her bag stopped by Nicki Minaj.
