Tom Cruise Supposedly Can See Suri But Chooses Not To

When we last heard about Tom Cruise and his non-relationship with his 12-year-old daughter Suri Cruise, Leah Remini was saying that Katie Holmes could lose custody of Suri just by talking to her, and that came after we heard Tom hasn’t seen Suri in years. A source tells UsWeekly that Tom could see Suri, but he doesn’t, because she’s not a Scientologist. While most of us would award Tom the Asshole Dad of the Year award for that, I’m sure David Miscavige is awarding him with The Most Amazing And Perfect Dad award, but then again he probably gets that every morning from his Scientology minions.

Tom and Suri have not been papped together since 2013. Now, listen: so what they haven’t been photographed? That don’t mean anything! Well, source said this:

“Every person is allowed to see their child if they wanted to… He chooses not to because she is not a Scientologist.”

According to UsWeekly, the custody agreement allows Tom to see Suri 10 days a month but so far he has opted in to doing that a total of zero times.

Suri’s mom, Katie Holmes, was married to Tom for 6 years, and then it’s reported that she “blindsided” him by filing for divorce in 2013. Ever since, Katie has been tight-lipped about literally everything. What’s she doing, who she’s dating, what she thinks; this girl is a vault.

Noted anti-Scientology warrior Tony Ortega says that Katie is most likely like this because she signed:

“some nondisclosure agreement saying she wouldn’t say anything bad about Scientology… She wanted to get away and she wanted to get Suri.”

Tony also thinks that Katie’s devotion to keeping Scientology from targeting her is the reason she keeps her social circles secret and small. Specifically how she no longer talks to her ex-friend Leah Remini:

“I’m sure her father, who’s a smart attorney, has probably told her that hanging out with Leah would be considered disparaging the church in the eyes of Tom and the church… We were all hoping that eventually Katie would say more and that we’d see them together, but Leah has gone on to become this real lightning rod for exposing Scientology’s abuses, and I think Katie just wants to keep the life she has right now with Suri and not get in a big fight with the church.”

When speaking with Us Weekly, Tony is sure to mention that he doesn’t think Tom even wants custody of Suri, but the possibility of a legal battle could be enough to keep Katie quiet.

While it’s sad, and not surprising, that Tom cares more about Scientology than the child he had made in a petri dish using his thetans and Katie’s thetans, Suri probably doesn’t want to be dragged to the Celebrity Centre by her dad where she’ll be exposed to Kirstie Alley burning a Leah Remini effigy in the courtyard and David Miscavige trying to convert gays by making them watch their prince’s oh-so-butch movie Top Gun. Suri doesn’t need that. Besides, I’m sure she wants no part of that since she’s a Pride Parade lemonade stand mogul now!
