Mischa Barton Is Going To Be In “The Hills” Reboot

Because a check is a check and Mischa Barton really needs a check, she’s doing what anyone in her position would do: “reality” TV. Heidi and Spencer Pratt and the rest of the people on The Hills whose names you can never remember showed up to the MTV VMAs this year and promised a reboot was in the works. Brody Jenner and Whitney Port somehow signed up for this, but news dropped today that one Marissa Cooper…aka Mischa…will be jumping from fiction to, uh, fiction-that-is-called-real-life and be (presumably) the Lauren Conrad/Kristin Cavallari role.

People reminds us that U-Haul bills don’t pay themselves, and since Dancing With The Stars didn’t exactly go her way, why not fake a fight with Speidi?! Sources say Mischa will be on The Hills: New Beginnings, and I really hope her plot line is just trying to gather financing the revive Les Deux since I don’t know where these people are going to go out ever since it closed. This is kind of an interesting career choice since The O.C. is what inspired Laguna Beach, which is what spawned The Hills. All in the SoCal family!

Sources confirmed Lauren and Kristin won’t be coming back for the reboot. Kristin is already on an E! reality show about her life in Nashville with husband Jay Cutler and trying to start that store that stole the name of Reese Witherspoon’s. A Kristin source claims she’s still close with Heidi and Spencer and “is excited for them,” which means “I’m glad someone is paying them to work.” Lauren won’t be coming back, according to a source, because “she’s in a different place.” That being said, “she wishes everyone the best,” which is white girl for, “don’t fuck up the brand I built.
