Elle Macpherson Says Billy Joel Dumped Her For Christie Brinkley

And in “Untold Stories of Past Pop Cultural Icons” news, Elle Macpherson, 54, told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that vehicular terror Billy Joel, 69, off-loaded her in favor of the ageless Christie Brinkley, 64, back in the day. It could have been the equally ageless Elle whom the public was aiming their puzzled looks at back in the 80s. She could have been ½ of the unusual and progressive celebrity pairing that inspired questions like “Her? With him? Really?”

A viewer called in to stir up some shit and see if she could break Elle with a catty question about being dumped for some basic American back in the day. Elle confirmed that she was indeed “ousted” by Billy.

“We were living together. I had the upstairs … in Central Park West. We were friendly, and I think he was dating Christie at the time, just starting to. So yeah, I got ousted.”

Dude is not only short, he’s bold. He brought Christie right up to their place! Andy (who is obviously still fatigued from having to wring that much delight out of his panties from Naomi Campbell’s expression of her true and beautiful love for Kendall Jenner) brought up whether or not Joel’s song “Uptown Girl” is about Elle or Christie. Because Cohen is the ultimate shit-stirrer. (You know those “viewers” that “call in” are his interns. And Ms. Andy and his main gal pal Anderson Cooper are kee-keeing like Macbeth witches over every single one of those “viewer” questions they come up with together over Sunday brunch.)

“I think it was all the uptown girls, put it that way. I don’t need to take ownership over that. He liked tall girls.”

Google tells us that Christie is 5’9, Elle is 6’0, and Billy is a towering 5’5. He probably likes tall girls because they’re the only ones who can reach his liquor cabinet now because his lawyer probably had it moved to over the fridge.

Elle also gets credit for locking down the quizzical expression that she must be dying to sport due to the unmistakable smell of baby wipes wafting over from her fellow guest.
