Ariana Grande Dropped Out Of Performing On The “Saturday Night Live” Premiere Due To Emotional Distress

Tonight is the premiere of Saturday Night Live’s 44th season, and while I am usually passed out by the time it airs, I’m looking forward to watching the cast nail Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh‘s balls to the wall in it’s anticipated reenactment of this week’s Senate Committee on the Judiciary hearings. Ariana Grande was supposed to the musical guest tonight and she would have been PERFECT in a cameo roll as Alyssa Milano, who got major airtime as the perfectly contoured little head over Brett’s shoulder during the majority of his testimony. But it now looks as if Pete Davidson will have to be without Ariana for at least a full two hours, because she’s dropped out at the last minute citing “emotional reasons“.

For the past week, building up to Thursday when her Twitter fingers hit their peak, Ariana released several cryptic tweets relating to her recent sadness and exhaustion, tipped over the edge by the blow of ex Mac Miller‘s death from an overdose and her constant performance schedule. People cites to her decision to quit of SNL at the last minute, an appearance that was well anticipated based on the obvious PDA filled frenzy behind her and fiancee/cast member Pete, as mandatory chill time:

After Ariana Grande‘s team announced the star is taking some much-needed time off, the singer got emotional on social media Thursday in a series of tweets.

“Can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls,” wrote Grande, adding “i’m so f—ing tired pls” and “jus wake me up when i’m supposed to sing or whatever. peace” minutes later.

The entertainer, 25, also resurfaced a tweet from earlier this month. “j f—ing k,” she wrote while re-tweeting her own post from Sept. 22 assuring fans that “everything will be okay.”

Ariana has had major traumas with the Manchester terrorist attack during her tour in 2017 and Mac’s death. Not to mention her thousands of neck muscles constantly straining for help holding up that 100 pound pony tail hair extension.

SNL producer Lorne Michaels confirmed that Ariana dropped out a few days before the show was to air:

“We had Ariana drop out for emotional reasons two days ago,” Michaels, 73, said on the “Origins With James Andrew Miller” podcast, released on Thursday, September 27. “That’s our premiere, and then Kanye [West] stepped up, and he’ll be there. So, the reach of the show and the number of people who will step forward is now somehow now, I think, probably at its peak.”

Lorne is a genius with his “Kanye to the rescue!” vision, which is something I never thought I’d type. But of course, what could be better than Kanye, a spoke in the Kartrashian flaming tricycle wheel of death, showing up in his favorite red MAGA cap and Colin Kaepernick shirt to add a massive messy ass spark to the comedic summary of this week’s political shit show? It’s 2018’s version of the Hunger Games and I, for one, am ready for the fuckery.
