Drake Is Suing A Woman For Extortion After She Claimed He Sexually Assaulted Her And Got Her Pregnant
TMZ is reporting that potential 18-year-old dater Drake has found himself in yet another mess with a woman and a baby, but this one is much more dramatic than his last one. It all started in Jolly Ole’ England, Manchester to be exact. Drake was there on his Boy Meets World Tour in February 2017 and met a woman known as Layla Lace. Drake claims he took her back to his hotel room where they hooked it all the way up. It was so romantic… until it wasn’t. Drake is suing her claiming she made up rape and pregnancy accusations to get a piece of his pie.
Drake claims in his lawsuit that Layla was outraged when he sent her home instead of taking her out on tour with him. After Drake sent Layla packing, he says she would text him to see how he was. TMZ has some of the texts here, if you wanna read ’em. It’s pretty dry, reads like a girl who’s talking to a fuckboi and has zero idea he’s a fuckboi despite his one word replies and constant: “I’ve got a busy schedule, we’ll work on it” reasonings for why they never see each other.
Drake is saying that Layla created a “fantasy relationship” with him, and when he was finally too tired to even reply with a “Hey” or an emoji, she took her obsessive interests and turned that shit up to 11. In April 2017, Layla posted on Instagram saying she was pregnant, writing:
“So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant they stop answering they phone!!!”
She then apparently threatened to leak texts from Drake to the public, and actually went on SiriusXM radio and announced Drake got her pregnant on the Shade45 show. Here’s a clip:
In May 2017, Layla hired herself a lawyer and claimed she was pregnant with Drake’s baby. She also threatened him with defamation because TMZ posted stories that said Drake had never even met Layla.
And here’s the big loop!
After all that, Layla apparently refused to take a paternity test and then suddenly her and her lawyer both “went radio silent.” Layla then went to the New York authorities with the accusations that Drake raped her in his Manchester hotel room. Drake claims she threatened to go public with her claims if he didn’t pay her. The Manchester police reviewed the case, interviewed Drake and ultimately cleared him of any kind of crimes.
Which brings us to today: Drake is suing her for civil extortion, emotional distress, fraud, defamation and abuse of process, asking for unspecified damages. Drake’s lawyers are saying this whole drama was a scam from the jump. According to them:
“There is no credible evidence of pregnancy, nor any baby, which would have been born last Fall.”
You know, I feel like a lot of Drake’s problems would be solved by one simple life choice. Wearing a goddamn condom.
