The Confused Kangaroo (Or Wallaby) Of Austria!

See, this is what happens when you don’t triple check your plane tickets. When you want to buy a ticket to Lismore Airport in Australia, your ass may end up buying a ticket to Linz Airport in Austria. That’s what could’ve happened to this kangaroo who was recently spotted far, far away from Australia in Austria. Go home, kangaroo, you’re drunk! “Bitch, I’m trying, but I can’t hop across the damn ocean!” – that kangaroo

BBC News says that a kangaroo, or wallaby, was spotted by several people near the small town of Kirchschlag in northern Austria. The local police have called around to zoos and local kangaroo breeders to see if any of them are missing a roo. They aren’t. You can have a pet kangaroo, but you need a special license. So right now, the police are treating the rogue kangaroo as a “lost dog.” An animal expert also believes she knows exactly what kind of kangaroo it is:

Police could not confirm what type of kangaroo was spotted, but a zoologist in the region speculated it was a type of tree kangaroo.

“It could be a Bennett kangaroo, which can withstand cool temperatures well,” Daniela Artmann from Schmiding Zoo told news agency APA.

Over the weekend, Ferdinand Kaineder posted a video of the rogue roo in the wild:

Are they sure that’s a kangaroo? The video is blurry and is far back, so it could be a big ass rabbit on the wrong stuff. Or maybe it’s a child who really wants to visit Australia and can’t get their parents to take them so they came up with a scheme to disguise themselves as a kangaroo so that Austrian authorities will return them to their “homeland.” Or maybe it’s just a kangaroo who can’t spell. I’m going with that.
