Pete Davidson Has Tattoos Inspired By Both Ariana Grande And Her Ex-Boyfriend

Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande totally seem like that couple from high school who would have signed each other’s yearbooks multiple times with exceedingly cheesy messages (“I wuv woo more than our geometry class trip to the box factory“). So of course they’ve got a number of tattoos in honor of each other. But as it turns out, Pete’s body actually is like a yearbook, and it also includes a little message courtesy of Ariana’s ex-boyfriend Big Sean.

During the same Variety interview in which Pete thinks Ariana might dump him one day, he talks about the first of his many tattoos. Pete was seventeen when he and his “buddy Ricky” went to get the words “Swerve Life” tattooed on their legs. They were inspired by Kanye West’s 2012 song “Mercy” featuring Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz. During the chorus, Big Sean repeatedly ad-libs the word “swerve,” an attitude that Pete and his buddy Ricky thought would last forever. Well…it didn’t but the tattoo does.

Pete says his current favorite is his Ariana-inspired bunny mask, or a tattoo of Willy Wonka. Wouldn’t it be funny if Pete later discovered that Ariana had also dated Willy Wonka? Hey, it could have happened. She looks small enough to qualify to work in his factory, and Wonka obviously plays fast and loose with professional workplace rules, like not dating employees.

I wonder how Ariana feels about the Big Sean tattoo on her current fiancĂ©? I can’t imagine she cares that much. It’s not like it’s a full portrait of Big Sean on his leg or anything. Plus, I’d be more distracted by all sixteen hundred of Pete’s Harry Potter tattoos. I know Pete’s scared Ariana will one day dump him. But if I were Ariana, I’d be afraid that one day Pete’s going to up and leave with some wand-waving hussy on a broom.
