If you follow Top Chef hosts Tom Colicchio and Padma Lakshmi on social media, you’ll know that they serve up more than a searing critique on your deflated-ass soufflé. Instead, they serve a searing critique on your deflated-ass soufflé and the deflated-ass reputation of the U.S. political system. Both of them are pretty staunch critics of Donald Trump and, unfortunately, the Trump trolls struck back at Tom in the wee hours of the night. He woke up Tuesday to find his front yard was vandalized by pretty offensive graffiti.
Not only was “TRUMP” sprayed across his front yard (which is reason enough to call your realtor to sell that shit), so was “Go Home” and “Cuomo=Death to America,” in reference to the Democratic governor of New York. I don’t know what home Tom and his wife, Lori Silverbush (both pictured above), were supposed to go to since they’ve apparently lived in the town of North Fork, New York, for 16 years. Both posted videos of their vandalized property:

Woke up this a.m. to a swath of hate speech painted across the property I share with @tomcolicchio and our 2 little boys. Cute touch: my name & a defaced Jewish star. Wake up USA: POTUS tacitly applauds this. THIS is whats at stake in the upcoming elections. #Vote2018 #NeverAgain pic.twitter.com/8tp3HYka2p

It’s pretty sad the Trump legion is resorting to spray-painting offensive shit on a guy whose temper only really flares if you’ve overly salted a white fish in your Quickfire Challenge. Tom later thanked town officials for cleaning up the mess immediately, and the Suffolk County Police Hate Crimes Unit responded to the matter despite it eventually being deemed not a hate crime. I’m sure that’s when Tom responded, “But that Trump guy they mentioned over on my fresh sod? His favorite foods are KFC and Big Macs. That’s gotta be a hate crime, right??”
