Page Six Says That Angelina Jolie Thinks Amal Clooney Is Copying Her
Brad Pitt is longtime friends with George Clooney, a fact that used to make me picture George and Amal Clooney trying not to roll their eyes when Brad and Angelina Jolie showed up to dinner and presented them with yet another bottle of Château Miraval rosé. But I never really pictured Angelina dragging Amal into the powder room to gossip about who’s doing who at the UN or prank calling Bono. Page Six says that there’s zero chance Angelina is texting Amal to hang out, and it has nothing to do with George and Amal picking sides in their custody battle. It’s because Angelina reportedly can’t stand Amal’s world-saving butt.
A source says that Angelina is “insanely jealous” of the attention Amal gets, and that she thinks Amal has “stolen her identity” as a humanitarian. First Angelina claims she’s poor, now she believes Amal Clooney has copied her life. Someone get Angie a brick wall and a mic, we’ve got a comedian on our hands.
“Angelina hates all the attention that Amal is getting – she’s beautiful, she’s smart, she’s stylish, she has a beautiful family and she’s doing important human rights work.” The source adds, “Angelina lives in such a bubble, she believes that Amal is doing a Single White Female on her, and Angie can’t understand why she herself has become so unpopular in Hollywood. But the truth is, Amal isn’t concerned at all about Angelina — she is fully focused on her family and her work.”
Angelina runs the Jolie-Pitt Foundation and the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, and she works as a special envoy for the UN. Two years ago, Amal and George started the Clooney Foundation for Justice, and in March 2017, Amal spoke at the UN about ISIS.
But of course Amal doesn’t care. She’s too busy working as a humanitarian lawyer, as she’s done since the early 2000s. It’s a good thing Amal is a lawyer too; she’ll know what to do if she arrives at work one day and finds Angelina in her office, taking the Single White Female fantasy too far by digging for a shoebox filled pictures and letters addressed to a different name, and cursing that the box only contains shoes.
