Miranda Lambert’s Boyfriend Got Officially Divorced

Quick update on the Miranda Lambert-dating-a-married-man situation. I have to call it a situation and not a scandal, because let’s be real: this happens all the time.

You’ll remember that Miranda started getting with her current boyfriend Evan Felker when he was still very married to Staci Felker. Evan’s band, the Turnpike Troubadours, opened for Miranda on tour. Evan reportedly ghosted Staci after that, but that didn’t stop Miranda from allegedly calling Staci all night with a blocked number. While Miranda may have been feeling a bit possessive of Evan, she will no longer have to suffer those feelings since he’s officially divorced from Staci.

According to Page Six, Evan and Staci submitted some papers making them no longer a couple. The decree of dissolution of marriage was handed in to the Oklahoma County court last Thursday and while the exact terms of their split are still a secret, Staci has already started posting moody, cryptic messages on her social media.

What does it all mean? Is she riding off into the sunset? Is turning her back on the drama of the past? Only her and the prairie lands know.

Miranda and Evan are now completely free to be with each other (not that it mattered before). Although I have to imagine now that Evan is no longer acting dark and shady due to his prior commitments, some of the excitement of the relationship has probably faded. If this was going to be research for her country music career, what would make for a better country song? “Me And Him Always Sneaking Around (On His Wife)” or “Officially Together (Happy Couple)”? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
