Kanye West Really Showed Off His Philosophizing Skills On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

My brain melted watching Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Like, do not watch this and try to make sense of what this man is saying because you will either be completely confused or your brain works wrong.

Jimmy Kimmel did his best to understand Kanye’s nuggets of “wisdom” while interviewing him last night on a wide range of topics from his clothing line, to his political commentary to his love of Trump.

Ye really treated the audience to some great one liners such as when he said: “Sorry, I know you guys wanted to clap, but everything I say is gonna be amazing.” Really Ye? What about that ego you killed? She still there?

While discussing Kanye’s love of Trump, Kanye talked about why he said what he said, and apparently, it was spite:

“Just as a musician, African-American guy out in Hollywood — all these different things — everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me and then told me every time I said I liked Trump that I couldn’t say it out loud or my career would be over, I’d get kicked out the black community, because blacks, we’re supposed to have a monolithic thought. We can only be Democrats”

According to Ye it took “a year and a half to have the confidence to stand up and put on the [MAGA] hat” because he “didn’t have the confidence to take on the world and possible backlash.” Ultimately, Ye says his decision to show support for Donald Trump came from–wait for it… love. Here’s his shitty reply: “One by one by one we can defuse this nuclear bomb of hate that we’re in as a society by thinking of everyone as our family.”

Jimmy, being a rational adult with decent amounts of knowledge on the facts surrounding current events, quickly brought up how Trump and Love only go together in the sentence: “Trump loves grabbing pussies“.

“I think that’s a beautiful thought, but just in literal terms there are families being torn apart at the border of this country. There are literally families being torn apart as a result of what this president is doing and I think we can’t forget that, whether we like his personality or not. His actions are really what matter.”

Jimmy kept on pushing Kanye, though, and said this:

“You so famously and so powerfully said, ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people.’ It makes me wonder what makes you think that Donald Trump does or any people at all.”

Welp that stumped the fuck out of Kanye and the man who was just going on and on about breaking the simulation because we’re all actors in an unscripted life (you can’t really think this man is a philosopher) ended up being completely speechless. Check the video out below, the cat gets Kanye’s tongue at around 11:00:

I look forward to the Kleopatra of Kalabasas Kim Kardashian trying to distance herself from these comments when they eventually threaten her perfume and contouring empire. I also look forward to Pamela Anderson sending Kanye her next well-written and highly intellectual open letter begging him to help with whatever philanthropic issue she believes his well-oiled mind would agree with her on. If you aren’t inspiring people like Pamela Anderson are you even really a philosopher?
