Sherri Shepherd Says Her Son Thinks Black Girls Are Mean

Sherri Shepherd was on The Breakfast Club last week and she had some interesting things to say. And by ‘interesting things to say’ I mean ‘mostly coherent noise to fart out’. While speaking with hosts Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee, Sherri made the revelation that her 13-year-old son Jeffrey doesn’t like black girls.

Ebony reports that Sherri has herself a race problem in her very own home. She explained that Jeffrey–who goes to a predominantly white school– has apparently had not great experiences with the few black girls who he interacts with, claiming they are “mean”. I’m pretty sure those white girls aren’t all smiles and sugarcanes either, my little man.

Here’s what Sherri has to say:

“I am going through this thing; he likes these girls. Because he came in and he said, ‘Mommy, I like White girls.’ …I learn a lot about men from my son. The little Black girls get mean with him. Sometimes they don’t want to speak [and] sometimes they act crazy. And he’s like, ‘Why they act so crazy?’ and I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’ So I keep trying to tell the little girls to be nicer so he can come towards you. But the other girls see him and they go, ‘Hey, Jeffrey’ and they wanna feel his hair…”

Fascinating. Jeffery is around very few black girls, only at school and at home, and yet he thinks they’re all crazy and mean. I mean, that’s so shocking considering what a pillar of mental and emotional stability his black mother is. Also, the sentence: “So I keep trying to tell the little girls to be nicer so he can come towards you.” Thanks for your contribution to feminism, Sherri! Also, if you are learning about men through your son, it’s already too late, sweetie. But I mean, when you’re paying a man child support for a baby that you don’t even acknowledge, it’s been too late.

There was one particular incident which was especially traumatizing for young Jeffrey, where a girl he was speaking to “moved his neck while he was talking.

Sherri asked the hosts what she should do about the colorism forming in her son’s mind. Charlamagne told her to get some strong male figures in her son’s life–because that will help with his perception of women–and Angela Yee suggested Sherri bring him around more teens who look like him.

You know who Sherri really should ask for help? I mean, apart from GodMeghan McCain! Sure Sherri thinks that she’s cold and uptight but that doesn’t matter. Jeffrey likes white girls! Who is whiter than Meghan McCain?
