Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin were together from 2002 to 2011, starting when he was 21 and she was 18. The most obvious reason was that their relationship ended the day Macaulay decided to start living as a human cigarette. Apparently Macauley had nothing to do with it, and it was all Mila’s shitty behavior.
When Mila’s publicist announced they were over, they said the “split was amicable, and they remain close friends.” Except it wasn’t. People says that Mila talked about the breakup during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, and she admitted she was the problem.
“[It was] a horrible, horrible breakup. I fucked up. I was an ass in my 20s and I’ll be the first to admit it. And that’s something that took me a long time to come out and be like, ‘Yeah, you know what, I was a dick,’ and accept it and I own it now. And it’s fucked up what I did. It’s fucked up what I did and it’s fucked up how I did it. When I got to be a single I said, ‘I just need to figure myself out.’ I genuinely need to know why I did what I did, and, like, regroup myself as a human being.”
Dax asked Mila if she’s forgiven herself, and she replied that she thinks enough time has passed that all mutual friends have “forgiven everybody” for what happened.
Mila wouldn’t elaborate on exactly what happened, but since I like to look things up on the internet and present them in a shady context, here you go. Mila and Macauley called it quits in 2011 after almost 9 years of dating. That same year, Demi Moore announced.she was separating from Ashton Kutcher. A year later, Ashton filed for divorce, shortly after he was rumored to be dating his former That 70’s Show co-star Mila. In 2014, they got engaged and had a baby (in 2015 they got married, and in 2016 they had their second kid).
This is when we all start wildly speculating what happened. Did Macaulay get suspicious of Mila when she started coming home smelling of douche fumes? I doubt we’ll ever know the truth. Just as long as Mila’s horrible fuck up wasn’t that she confessed to Macaulay that Home Alone 2 is the better movie. That’s unforgivable in anyone’s eyes.
