Bristol Palin Is Going To Be On The Next Season Of “Teen Mom OG”

MTV knows that the best way to get over losing one extremely messy attention-loving former teen mom is to replace her with an equally-messy attention-loving former teen mom. And lucky for them that Bristol Palin answered her phone when they called! No, really – she’s probably spent the past month screening her calls so she doesn’t have to listen to her mom whine about getting tricked by Borat.

Variety is reporting that nine months after MTV allegedly fired Farrah Abraham from Teen Mom OG for being an “adult entertainer,” they’ve added Alaska’s most famous teen mom to the cast. Bristol became famous at 17 when her pregnancy was announced during the 2008 Republican National Convention. She later gave birth at 18 to Tripp whose father isĀ Levi Johnston. Since then, she’s become very familiar with reality TV, appearing in such hits as the 11th and 15th seasons of Dancing with the Stars, Sarah Palin’s Alaska, and Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp, a show which literally no one wanted to watch.

Teen Mom OG currently stars Catelynn Baltierra, Maci McKinney, and Amber Portwood, and it’s entering its 8th season. None of them are teen moms anymore, and now with the addition of Bristol, they’re not all OG’s either (Catelynn, Maci, Amber, and Farrah were all from the first season of Teen Mom). I suppose now the stars have aligned and it might finally be the right time to change the name to MTV Presents: Basically the Same Moms You See On Facebook.

Aside from being a former teen mom, Bristol currently has three children (Tripp, Sailor, and Atlee), the last two she made with soon-to-be ex-husband Dakota Meyer. Bristol and Levi were once involved in a messy custody fight over Tripp. Then she got into some custody drama (and a secret wife situation) with Dakota. She’s also found herself in the news for a messy, drunken family fight that happened a few years ago. Honestly, the question here isn’t why MTV chose Bristol for a mess like Teen Mom OG. The question is: what the hell took them so long?
