Some Think Pete Davidson And Ariana Grande Are Getting Married Next Month

Despite Pete Davidson putting an engagement ring on Ariana Grande’s finger last month, the cynical love-hater in me had a tiny suspicion that they might not make it to a wedding. I saw it more as a relationship based on getting tattoos that would meet its end when they ran out of room on their bodies. But if the sleuths on the internet are to be believed, then I’m very wrong. Not only is Pete serious enough about Ariana to give her his father’s FDNY chain, it might be a clue to their wedding date.

As many know, Pete’s father Scott Davidson died in Manhattan on 9/11 when he was seven years old. He’s said before that his father’s death had a profound effect on him, and he has his father’s badge number – 8418 – tattooed on him. Shortly after getting with Pete, Ariana got 8418 tattooed on her foot. Two days ago on Instagram, Pete posted the picture above, showing Ariana wearing his father’s FDNY chain, which also has 8418 engraved on the front.

That’s obviously a really special gesture for Pete, but I can imagine it was just a bit bittersweet for Ariana. “Oh, so you mean I could have just worn this necklace instead of getting the number tattooed on my foot?

Obviously Pete’s decision to put his late father’s chain on his rebound of two months got some people’s neck-fur up, but he doesn’t care. People says that after he posted the picture to Instagram, he went into the comments and defended his decision against someone who called it “so disrespectful.”

Ariana reportedly commented: “I love u more than anything.” Maybe not more than the number 8418, though. According to ONTD, some fans believe that 8418 is more than just Pete’s dad’s number; it’s also the rumored date of their upcoming wedding, which would be August 4th, 2018. August 4th is a Saturday, which is arguably the most popular day for weddings. But Pete and Ariana are famous people, they don’t need to get married on a summer Saturday like the rest of society. Who does she think she is, everyone I went to high school with? But if she does, then she better get working on her choreographed first dance to What Lovers Do by Maroon 5 and figure out how to upload the video to Facebook.
