Elon Musk Called A Thai Cave Rescuer A Pedophile

Elon Musk did not come off as likeable this past week, which is really saying something for a guy who is worth more than small countries and dates celebrities who are way hotter than him. Over the weekend a few bits of less-than-great information dropped about him.

First up was the revelation that Elon is a big donor of some GOP Republicans. ThinkProgress reported that some Federal Election Commission disclosure forms outed Musk’s right-wing donations.  Elon donated almost $40, 000 to a Republican group called Protect The House, “which aims to bolster campaigns of vulnerable House members.” People were quick to come for the billionaire on Twitter since he’s always going on about the environment and climate change and well, you know, Republicans hate that shit. Well, Elon has an answer to you non-genius, non-billionaires: it’s for the “open dialogue.”

BUT WHAT DOES GRIMES THINK?! Oh, she’d just shrug and go,” Whatever he said

Elon’s weekend of internet hate didn’t even end there. He decided to follow up the GOP reveal by criticizing one of the people who saved those Thai boys from that cave. Only a genius like Elon could pull a genius move like that.

CNN reports that Elon also decided to slap at Vernon Unsworth, a cave diver from Britain who lives in Thailand and helped with the rescue of the soccer team who got caught. Elon accused Vernon of being a “pedo” in a since-deleted tweet.

“We will make one of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo. Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it.” Musk tweeted.

Challenged on the social media site to provide evidence to support his accusation, Musk tweeted: “Bet ya a signed dollar it’s true.”

There was no real reason to suggest Vernon was a child molester, and he’s now considering legal action (yeah, considering how much to sue for). Asked about Elon, Vernon told a reporter for the Australian network, Nine Network: “I am not gonna make any further comment about him but I think people realize what sort of a guy he is.”

People think the reason Elon is so pissed with Vernon is because he previously dissed Elon’s escape pod/submarine idea which he proposed to save the boys. In a previous interview with CNN Vernon said Elon Musk’s mini-submarines had “absolutely no chance of working” and that he can “stick his submarine where it hurts.” Obviously it did hurt Elon because soon after he called Vernon a pedo.

Previously, Elon had been posting updates to the construction of the mini-sub which he thought could be used to save the boys, but was ultimately left out of the rescue mission. The commander of the mission, Narongsak Osotthanakorn (I know none of you are pronouncing that correctly), once said that Elon’s submarine “doesn’t fit with our mission.” This pissed off Elon also and he responded to a BBC tweet saying that the man commanding the rescue mission was “not the subject matter expert.” Elon also tried to show how important he was to the rescue of the Thai boys by sharing screenshots of emails  with Richard Stanton, who was one of the first to reach the soccer team in cave. The emails are supposed to be Elon’s receipts for how much his submarine could have helped:

Elon also claimed he was “repeatedly” asked to help with the rescue but had to decline “several times”. Elon argued with Twitter users throughout the day and then deleted a few other messy Tweets.

Next up for Elon on his “Getting People To Like Me” Tour is sitting down to dinner at an old slave plantation with Donald Trump after a puppy-kicking competition hosted by Nickelback.
